How it works

One process for buyers, one for sellers

During launch we broker each trade by hand. You tell us what you need or what you make, and we do the matching, lab coordination and escrow setup.

For buyers

no fee to request
  1. Request a quoteDescribe the material, e.g. 50 kg of nanoplatelets, 5–10 layers, plus your application and timeline.
  2. Get matched with verified sellersWe send your request only to sellers whose material has passed independent lab testing.
  3. Order a sampleTrial a small quantity in your own process before you commit to bulk volume.
  4. Pay into escrowYour payment is held by a neutral escrow account, not sent to the seller.
  5. Confirm the materialCheck that what arrived is what was promised.
  6. Seller gets paidFunds are released to the seller only after you confirm.

For sellers

no listing fee to start
  1. ApplyTell us about your company, products and production capacity.
  2. Lab verificationAn independent lab tests each product you want to list. You pay per test.
  3. Verified badgeProducts that pass are listed with a Verified badge and the test results behind it.
  4. Receive qualified RFQsWe forward buyer requests that match your material and capacity.
  5. Get paid through escrowThe buyer funds escrow before you ship. A commission of about 6% applies only to completed sales.

Marketplace

What's available, and what buyers want

Sellers list what they have. Buyers post what they need. AI compares specs, quantities and timing to suggest matches, and we confirm every match personally. Company names stay private until a deal is set up in escrow.

Sellers

Lab verification

Independent testing at the University of Central Florida

Seller samples are tested at the UCF Materials Characterization Facility in Orlando, Florida, an independent university lab that accepts commercial samples. Methods follow the ISO/TS 21356-1 approach for graphene powders and dispersions.

Lab readout · Raman illustrative
Verification looks for graphene's signature peaks. The D, G and 2D bands and their ratios help a lab tell real few-layer graphene from graphite powder.

What gets tested

MaterialTests
Nanoplatelets / powdersRaman (layers, defects), SEM (flake size), XPS (carbon/oxygen, purity); optional TEM layer count
Graphene oxide / rGOXPS (C/O ratio), Raman, XRD
CVD filmRaman mapping (coverage, layers), SEM

How it works for sellers

seller pays per test
  1. Apply and list your specsTell us each product's stated layers, flake size, purity and C/O ratio.
  2. Get a test quoteWe confirm the test package and price before anything is run. Estimated $800–$1,400 per product, based on UCF's published hourly rates.
  3. Send a production sampleShip a sample drawn from a normal production batch, labeled with the batch number.
  4. Results and badgeIf results match your specs, the product earns the Verified badge and the report stays attached to it.
Why verification matters <10%

Most graphene samples from more than 60 suppliers, tested by researchers at the National University of Singapore, contained less than 10% actual graphene.

The label on the drum is not enough

Graphite powder, thick multilayer flakes and true few-layer graphene can look alike in a bag. They behave very differently in a battery electrode, a coating or a composite. Buyers often find out only after a failed trial run.

We put a test between the seller's claim and your order. A product is listed as Verified only after an independent lab has characterized it.

  • Independent lab, not the seller's own report
  • Results attached to each listed product
  • Escrow holds payment until you confirm the delivery matches

FAQ

Common questions

What does it cost?

Buyers pay nothing to post a request. Sellers pay no listing fee to start. Each product a seller lists is tested by an independent lab at the seller's cost, per test. When a trade completes, the marketplace earns a commission of about 6%. No commission is charged on trades that do not complete.

How does verification work?

The seller sends a production sample of each product to the University of Central Florida's Materials Characterization Facility in Orlando. The lab characterizes the material by Raman spectroscopy, electron microscopy, XPS and other standard methods, and reports whether it matches the seller's stated specifications. Only products that pass get the Verified badge, and the results stay attached to the listing.

How does escrow work?

The buyer pays Escrow.com, a licensed third-party escrow service, not the seller. The seller ships once the funds are secured. After delivery the buyer confirms the material is what was promised, and escrow then releases the payment to the seller.

Who handles shipping?

Shipping goes directly from the seller to the buyer. The seller arranges packaging, transport and any export documents for the material. The marketplace does not store or handle the product.

Can I buy a small sample first?

Yes. Sample orders let you trial material in your own process before you place a bulk order. Mention it in your quote request.

Are there products listed yet?

Not yet. We are in our first phase, collecting buyer requests and onboarding sellers through lab verification. We broker each early trade directly, and listings will appear as products pass testing.
